Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well! I just wanted to give a couple of updates on the
FLOSS Manuals reboot. I'll come back with more sooner the date. :)
Firstly, I wanted to thank Helen Varley Jamieson and Martin Kean for
working with me on the reboot process. Together we've worked on a flyer
about the reboot to take to the Libre Graphics Meeting this weekend.
It's here - https://about.flossmanuals.org.uk/post/_fm-flyer-for-lgm/ -
and I've copied the text below.
The other update is that we have a new URL for the project at
http://flossmanuals.org.uk - so if you are able to update links to the
older site that would be great.
As part of that move we have a new address for this mailing list.
http://lists.flossmanuals.org.uk/listinfo.cgi/community-flossmanuals.org.uk
You can go here to manage your subscription or unsubscribe. As part of
this move I also updated the name of the list from discuss to community
to reflect that this email list is not used for active discussion.
And I've added this information to our get involved page here -
https://about.flossmanuals.org.uk/page/get-involved/
FM issue tracker
To reduce the amount of mail in our email inboxes the best way to report
an issue with FM or to suggest a new manual, or let us know you want to
adopt one is to use our issue tracker here.
https://gitlab.com/flossmanuals/fm_en_splash/-/work_items
<https://gitlab.com/flossmanuals/fm_en_splash/-/work_items>
One of the main pieces of work for the reboot is to remove broken links
where they are found and to signpost to more up to date versions of
manuals where they exist. That tracker link is the best place to do that.
All the best,
Mick
